Elise’s story: I’ve been a stay-at-home mom for 15 years now. Although my 4 children are all school-agers, I have chosen not to work outside of the home because I want to be able to volunteer in their schools and be there for every major event and most especially to be there when they walk in the door every afternoon. Last year my wonderful children gave me your Mother’s gift basket for Mother’s Day. I had never read Chicken Soup for the Mother’s Soul; I was surprised how much I cried while I read it. It was so very touching. I guess I loved it so much because it reminded me how special & sacred mothering is. Moms help build character and a hard work ethic and thereby are laying a foundation for everything that will happen in the future of this planet. Not everyone is religious, but I personally believe moms work hand-in-hand with God in overseeing the physical, mental, emotional, and spiriutal growth of His children. Pretty awesome!
